Weekly Sketch #6

Welcome to our 6th weekly sketch. I hope that the previous sketches have been of inspiration to some people!

This week the sketch and examples have been created by Maxine but the inspiration actually came from the fab sketch site Pencil Lines.

Sketch #6

Layout example

This week I have created a 6x12 layout, but the sketch would work just as well for 81/2x11 or 12x12.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks sketch and we would love to see if you create any projects using the sketch.

Weekly Sketch #4

Welcome to our 4th weekly sketch. This week the sketch and examples have been designed by Maxine.

Sketch #4

Layout Example 1

Words for this layout were taken from the Winnie the Pooh song 'Forever and Ever'.

Layout Example 2

Words for this layout were taken from Black Eyed Peas 'I Gotta Feeling'.

Card Example

This card uses MME Stella & Rose and Hero Arts Stamps.

In both my layout examples I have merged the journaling and title together but you could have a seperate journaling and title block like the sketch shows.

I really hope that you are enjoying our weekly sketches, please feel free to comment below or on our facebook page if you create any projects using our sketches.

Happy Crafting,

Maxine

Weekly Sketch #2

Welcome to our 2nd weekly sketch. I hope you liked last weeks sketch and would love to see any projects you create from any of our sketches. Feel free to leave links to your blog in the comments or come on over to our Facebook page and share on the wall.

Our week 2 sketch and examples have been designed by Maxine.

This is not a new sketch I have designed but is my favourite sketch, all the examples to follow have been created from this sketch over the past year or so.

Card Example 1

Card Example 2

I love the versatility of this sketch, you can fit up to 9 photos on it should you wish (as in layout example 2) or include 6 photos and use the bottom (or top) section for your title and journaling (as in examples 1 and 3). In my layout examples my coloured squares measure 3" and my photos approx 2", but you could make each square a 3" photo if you do not wish to include a photo mat. You could also use some of the squares for journaling instead of photos. I love to embellish my layouts quite a lot but you could also make a much simplier and clean looking layout by using minimal embellishments. The list of options with this sketch is almost endless!

I hope you have enjoyed our second weekly sketch and watch out for another next week!

Maxine x

Weekly Sketch #1

Welcome to our new Weekly Sketch on the Truly Madly Crafty Blog. Each week we will bring you a new sketch and some example layouts and cards.

This week the sketch and all examples have been designed by Maxine.

Sketch #1

This is our simple sketch for our first week. The photo area can be 1 6x4 photo or several smaller ones. The block on the left hand side can be made up of a strip of patterned paper, several strips of co-ordinating papers or ribbons. Underneath the title there is space for journaling should you wish to include some. And the circle on the corner of the photo is a cluster or embellishments/flowers/buttons etc.

We really hope that you find inspiration from this sketch and the examples. Should you create any layouts or cards using the sketch we would love to see, please leave us a link in the comments so we can go and check it out!

Watch out for the next sketch next Monday!
